Maybelline Color Whispers are what I’m wearing now during the summer.  It’s a sheer, moisturizing lip formula which is very light on the lips never heavy like some lip balms or lipsticks.  The color intensity can vary between each lip whisper, but majority are very light in color,  not opaque like what you would get from a regular lipstick ….it’s like a whisper, hence the name.

My favorite colors from the Maybelline color whispers line are “a Plum Prospect” and “Lust for Blush”.

(Maybelline Color Whispers in “A Plum Prospect” and “Lust for Blush”)

Maybelline color whispers“A Plum Prospect” and “Lust for Blush” are along the same pink tones,  “A Plum Prospect” is just a little deeper pink leaning towards a berry rose.  Lust for blush is a lovely mauve color and  a little on the sheerer side.    If you have color to your lips, the color might not show up enough.  It is very sheer on my lips, my lips tends to be rosy naturally.  It’s very similar to my lip  color, making it a very natural.

ELF Essential Eyelid Primer Review

Elf Eyelid Primer Review

ELF eyelid primer’s main purpose is so that your eyeshadow is crease-proof and longer-lasting.  Using a primer also enhances an eyeshadow color, making it a more visible and, or a more vibrant color.  So a primer does have a purpose and once you try a primer, you will be hooked.  The Elf Essential eyelid primer is a great one to try if you haven’t tried an eyelid primer before.

This Elf eyelid primer is from the Essential Line, which is the $1 least expensive primers from E.L.F.  They do have other eyelid primers, one more from the Essential Line, which is $2 and one from the Mineral Line, which is $3.  This Elf eyelid primer is definitely one of the more popular ones and a fovorite among many, by looking at the website and reading all the reviews.

The Elf eyelid primer comes in four tones or shades.

Here are swatches of the Sheer and the Golden shades.  I love them both and will definitely try the other two shades.

ELF Essential Eyelid Primer Review

The Sheer is a pinky beige tone, a basic lighter skin-toned color.  The Golden is a golden shimmer tone. The golden is so pretty under an eyeshadow, it brings out a gold shimmer to any eyeshadow.  You can wear it alone…..also very pretty.  The champagne and Pearl are also shimmers.

They definitely work great, does what it says it suppose to do.  It lasts all day and keeps my eyelid crease- free and my eyeshadow looks great even at the end of my day.  I definitely would repurchase many more times and would recommend this product to a friend.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream Review – Is It Worth Buying?

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream Review – It’s an 8 in 1 beauty balm, skin perfector with a titanium dioxide sunscreen, broad spectrum spf 30.  The eight skin perfectors are blurs imperfection, enhances, brightens, adjusts to skin tone, smoothes, hydrates, protects with spf 30, and 0% oils and other heavy ingredients.

First impression… when I saw Maybelline’s Dream Fresh BB Cream in the store I thought…wow,  it’s so tiny.  It’s 30 ml., 1.0 FL. ounce.  You probably get about 2 weeks or less of use, out of this tube.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream

The price was very affordable $8-9 at most drugstores.  I wouldn’t have gotten it if the price was any higher.  It was very affordable so I decided to give it a try.

There is a selection of colors available, so points for that.   There’s light, light/medium,medium, medium/deep, and deep.  I’m light/medium… 25-30 in mac powder foundations.  The drugstore I went to had samples where you can test for your color, which was great and rare.  I think that differs between drugstores, though.

My take…

  • too sheer of a coverage, it’s okay for light makeup-stay home, kind of day
  • spf 30 great but not both UVA &UVB sunscreen
  • bit greasy means more blotting and powdering, which I never do
  • smell is okay, not overwhelming like others…Ganier BB cream
  • it has okay staying power as long as you blot and powder
  • out of the 8 skin perfectors, not really sure about 5.  I don’t really see blurring of imperfections, enhancing, brightening or smoothing.  And I’m not sure about 0% oils,  it feels greasy.

so 3 out of 8, it adjusts to skin color, because it’s so sheer.  It protects with spf 30, and I’ll assume hydrates but I can’t say for sure.

Maybelline Dream Fresh Cream

Simply, it’s just okay, not in love with it.  I probably will use it before my other BB cream…the Garnier BB cream.  I do prefer the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream over the Garnier BB cream.  I probably won’t repurchase this one,  but I am glad I bought it.  I just had to try it for myself.  I will use it but,  only under certain conditions.  Because it’s on the greasy side, I would have to wear it only when the weather is cooler.  I probably will try an asian BB cream next, any suggestions?  I don’t think America’s got the edge on this market yet.
