Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment

My new favorite product right now is the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment.  I’ve been looking for a treatment that would help with my pores.  I have occasional breakout and I can’t figure out what I am doing wrong with my skin. 

If you’re like me,  I tried everything out there…..I got the clarisonic, I bought all the acne products, proactive. etc.  I know a  part of it is hormonal, but I just needed to do more and dig deeper, to go beneath the surface.  Know what I mean, find the root or the cause of the problem before it happens and not just treating the problem after it appears.  This is what my reasearch has lead me to. 

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment is a product that has beta hydroxy acid or BHA, which is salicylic acid.  Salicylic acid works by exfoliating your pores chemically instead of using harsh abrasive scrubs or granules.  It a product that works similar to AHA, Alpha hydroxy acid but can penetrate oil which AHA can’t.  So if your oily,  BHA’s are better in treating your pores.

My review of  Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment

I love it, I been using it for two weeks and the lotion smells great, it’s very light but hydrating.  I noticed less redness, my pores seem smaller, my skin plumped, meaning my pores are less noticeable.  As for breakouts, it is under control, very minimal breakouts, almost none at all. It  does soften  and moisturizes my skin making my skin feel so soft.   I am watching my pores and hope the BHA’s in this product is doing it’s job.  I want to improve my pores functions and have this lotion go deep and clear out my clogged pores.  So far-so good, this is an early review, I will let you know if anything goes wrong with this product.  For the price of this product and for what it does, you cannot go wrong!  I’d say,  it’s one of the best finds I’ve found in a drugstore, in a long time.

Clean & Clear Persa-gel 10

Clean & Clear Persa-gel 10 is a 10% benzoyl peroxide ance medication in maximum strength.

To use, you cleanse your skin thoroughly before application.  Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily.  You are recommended to just start with one application daily first, then work your way up to two to three times daily.  If irritation occurs, skip a day or lower your application amount.  You can apply every other day if extra dryness or irritation occurs. 

This is a topical anti-bacterial cream which is needed in preventing acne.  This cream will disinfect your skin to eliminate the bacteria on your skin, which is acne causing.

I have tried a lot of acne creams, all with 10% benzoyl peroxide.  There is something different about this product that works for me.  It’s not as irritating to my skin as others and it does take my acne away in 1-2 days.  Basically it does a good job without irritating my skin.

Other Solutions to Reducing Large Pores on Your Face

Keeping your pores clean is a long term solution for the prevention of large pores. If you have enlarged pores, you have oily skin. Along with large pores and oily skin commonly comes clogged pores. To control this bad-skin snow-ball effect, you must follow a skin care regimen that specifically targets oily skin and pay special attention to your pores and the cleanliness of them.

Having large pores ,you are more at risk of dirt and bacteria getting in them.  If pores are continuously being clogged, they are more likely to stay enlarged.  A happy, small pore is a clean pore.  So, let’s do our best in trying  to keep our pores nice and clean.  I know it’s not always easy.  Speaking from personal experience, You can do everything right and still get the occasional breakout. 

Exfoliate regularly. Removing the dead skin layer on your face is mportant. Your own dead skin cells can be clogging to your skin pores.

Use products containing alpha hydroxy or salicylic acids. They have been efffective topical agents in exfoliating and removing dead skin cells.
