Nails of the Day : Half Moon Nails

The materials that you will need….

• Base Nail Color(color of the half moon)
• Top Nail Color
• Hole Reinforcement Stickers(found in the stationary aisle in any drugstore)

Steps to do a Half Moon Manicure….

1.  Apply your base color, the color you want as the half moon.   Here I used a gray color called “Kiss me Here” from PURE ICE.  Let dry.

2.  Apply your binder paper hole reinforcement stickers and secure all edges(making sure edges are securely down).

3.  Paint the second nail color and let dry.  Here I used a black color called “Ebony hates Chris” by Wet ‘n’Wild.

4.  Peel carefully the hole reinforcement stickers creating the moon shape.

5.  Do a top coat to finish.

Nail Look of the Day: Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro Polish in Spice Romance

 This polish makes me think of pumpkin pie, which is my fave.   It’s such a perfect fall color, reminds me of pumpkins at Halloween and the leaves that are so pretty & falling from the trees.

 I never wear orange or even peach, so this is a jump or leap, as they say into trying something new.  It’s kind of uncomfortable because I’m not used to it.  I keep staring at it and thinking, “Do I like it?” ………Yes, I think I do I really do!….It’s sweet and I like that it makes me happy thinking of Halloween, pumpkin pies and the upcoming holidays!

It is a frost color, not opaque but not really heavy on the frost, which I really like.  It’s  just a bit of frost to create that nice sheen on the nail color.

 By the way, I am LOVING Rimmel Lasting Finish PRO Polishes…luv the colors, luv the quality of the polish, luv the brush..the round tip is the best.  It’s so obviously how all brushes should be, just makes sense.  It makes it so much easier to get close to the cuticle without getting polish on it.
